*yo Taboo, i really enjoyed drawing these letters + i added a little "Nueva York" in hebrew on the side as a present from the middle east~, hope you like it mate
Hey Poet!! Hope you are doing good. Spring time came to Prague and there was Graffneck jam this weekend. I found your sketch from last year. Thanx for the style and funk, I kept also the 70's coloring...I painted a little bit narrower than the original just because there was no more space around me. Too many people, too perfect weather to stay at home.
Painted this a while back in New Jersey. This sketch had a nice classic style that reminded me of the graffiti I was influenced by, early on in Staten Island. There are also some elements (maybe in the way I painted it) that remind me of Bates's work. Overall, I am satisfied with the finished result!
Here's a sketch I did for Askew a few months back, but never posted it. one of the rare completed sketches I've done in recent memory. I tried to do relatively standard letter forms in order to leave plenty of room for improvization. I have been a big fan of Askew's work for a long time and it'd be interesting to see what he could do with this as a basic chassis for a piece. Go nuts.
it was a bit of a challenge to end on a D, but a challenge i was willing to take, it really pushes you to get out of your comfort zone and try something new. i have been a fan of roid for many years, so it seemed a great opportunity to show my respect in this way. i hope you like it roid ^_^
here is a crazy sketch by hesoe...........it was a lot of fun to paint and a great challenge trying to interpret hesoe's off the wall style...........thx dude!
here is a dope sketch by cecs.......i tried to stay close to the o.g. drawing as much as possible. i had to add the arrow in the top right corner to balance it out, cause i ended up making the piece slump on the right....haha shit.
Here you go Cecs , a reasonably traditional style jazzed up with a few designs and effects.. I have been really digging the use of Black and red over white. I think for this sketch in particular it works perfectly, Hope you Enjoy!
Hey mate, I have been mucking around with the old "HORROR" fonts in recent times.. A concept I know you are familiar with, So I thought you might appreciate this sketch I designed for you.
Hey Shots - I got my sketch on the other night and I have had you in mind for a while now... So hope you like! I have been playing around with distorted letter shapes with semi illogical structures, but still trying to maintain the original essence of the overall design...
I've been really into Sirum's work for quite a while now, so I felt that I really need to push myself, especially with this sketch plus there's three of his letters in my name. Usually I don't do full color sketches, but I felt like I had to for this cause. Hope you like it mate!
This was one of the more challenging sketches Ive had to paint so far. Mostly due to the round edges and trajectory of the letters...I love the way the S swings into a diffrent direction.. I think im going to try painting this one again, or maybe another sketch from roids..If feel theres so much you can do with this style. Thanks man! I broke alot of "habits" by painting this. e.
Yo Poet! Out of both sketches you did i liked the structure on this one, really dig the way the bottom leg on the S came out of the E and the finishing E ... added some funky people .. hope you like it bro, thanks for the sketch! Looking forward to getting some more sketches people! and to check the book.. great job Joe!
